A statement from Care Free Medical, Inc:
A new type of coronavirus has been making people sick. The symptoms include fever, coughing, and shortness of breath. For some people, COVID-19 is a mild illness. For others, it is a severe illness. There are things you can do to help stop the spread and keep yourself and the community healthy.
– Wash your hands well and often.
– Engage in social distancing, even if you feel well. And if you do feel sick, please stay home except to receive medical care.
– Clean and disinfect surfaces often with regular household cleaners.
– No close contact; keep your distance from others who may be ill.
We want to reassure you during this time that Care Free is doing everything it can to mitigate the spread of the virus. We will follow the leadership of State and Local officials during this difficult time. We urge you to call your healthcare provider or the Ingham County Health Department if you develop symptoms and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or if you have recently traveled from an area with widespread or ongoing community spread of COVID-19.
Out of an abundance of caution, Care Free Medical Inc. is cancelling all tours of the clinics in the immediate future. We are also postponing our annual spring fundraising gala, Dancing with the Local Stars until a later date.
We want to thank you in advance for your cooperation and we urge you to remain calm but take the necessary steps to keep you and those around you safe. We will keep in communication with you via social media and email regarding any additional changes or developments.
Thank you,
